This dashboard was created to see in real time any fire hotspots in the Dunster area.  The BC Wildfire polygons (Out of control, Being Held, Under Control and Out) are updated as per BC Wildfire services – BCWS_FirePerimeters_PublicView (FeatureServer).  For alerting residence of the Dunster Community, the map lasso can be used to visually sort the properties that might be affected by a local fire and cross reference them with a local phone list.  Contact would be made via a Dunster Fire Brigade volunteer in a situation of a Out of Control fire and potential evacuation alert.
